Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse Location not specified. This role involves working in a high-risk, high-volume labor and delivery environment supporting both antepartum and postpartum care. The position includes responsibilities during delivery, neonatal care, and continuous patient assessment, following AWHONN guidelines and electronic fetal monitoring protocols.
Job Details
- Certifications: Required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Preferred: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
- Education Requirements: 1 Year of experience in Labor and Delivery; active compact license in hand at submission
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in Labor and Delivery, with high-risk experience preferred
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, days shift
- Additional Responsibilities: Functions as a Baby Nurse during delivery, providing neonatal care including eyes, thighs, assessment, and injections, and supporting high-risk deliveries in a fast-paced environment
- Float Requirements: Float rotation may be required to sister facilities supporting mother/baby units
- Special Procedures/Unit Details: Support for high-risk, high-volume L&D; participates in deliveries, neonatal care, and maternal assessments; functions in a triage and OB emergency department setting
- Patient Population: Neonates and adults, with an average daily census of 15
- Submission Requirements: Must respond to questions regarding prior work at Providence facilities, provide 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years, and include active license information
