Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) Registered Nurse position in the healthcare provider setting. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for patients in post-operative, cardiovascular, pulmonary, and various other medical-surgical units with telemetry monitoring. The position requires delivering quality patient care while adhering to hospital protocols and standards.

Job Details

  • Position Description: The role involves working in acute care units, primarily focusing on post-operative care, cardiac disorders, respiratory issues, and other medical-surgical conditions. Nurses will administer titratable and set rate drips such as Heparin, Amiodarone, or Cardizem, and interpret telemetry strips using Nihon Koden monitors.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid licensure, ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS certifications; minimum of 2 years of recent hospital acute care experience in MS TELE units; must have Epic electronic medical records (EMR) experience within the past year; 2 years of recent hospital acute experience; current license at time of submission; location-specific nursing license; 36 hours minimum per week; shift hours of 12 hours (either 0630-1900 or 1830-0700).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a teaching facility and familiarity with monitor reading and interpretation.
  • Schedule: 3x12 hour night shifts with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period. No guarantee of block schedules or matching travel partner schedules.
  • Additional Information: Nurses will participate in orientation including classroom and unit-specific training, with preceptor support afterward. All clinicians are required to clock in and out at the facility; scrub color mandated as black top and bottom. Units are assigned via Oracle, with initial scheduling managed by the supervisor.
