Licensed Practical Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Description

Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor RN (Registered Nurse) Nights located in New Mexico. This position involves providing direct patient care on a busy medical-surgical unit, with responsibilities including patient assessment, medication administration, discharge planning, and documentation. The role requires flexibility for floating and occasional call duties, and the schedule involves 12-hour night shifts lasting 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights (7:00 PM 7:30 AM), 36 hours per week, beginning 10/26/2026 and ending 01/25/2027
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, IV certification, a minimum of 1 year of experience in medical-surgical nursing, and multi-state or New Mexico licensure
  • Preferred Qualifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred
  • Float: Float: Float rotation may be required
  • Additional Information:
    • Candidates must have fingerprints processed through the state of New Mexico, which may take several weeks.
    • 48-hour guarantees may be accommodated with specific documentation.
    • Block scheduling and RTO (Request for Time Off) requests can be considered if included in the application.
    • The unit is high-volume with quick patient turnover, requiring efficient and critical nursing skills. The RN holds accountability for providing delegated aspects of patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, including physical assessments, medication administration, discharge planning, and documentation.
