Registered Nurse / Intermediate Care Unit

Job Summary
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Madison, WI. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a fast-paced, academic medical environment that is ranked Wisconsin`s #1 hospital. The RN will work in both the IMC Acute Medical/Progressive Care unit and the Thoracic unit, caring for acutely ill adult patients with complex medical conditions, including transplant and ventilator management.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years, WI RN or compact RN license, ACLS, BLS certifications, and experience in telemetry, vent and transplant management, ICU or stepdown units.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in an academic Level I or II trauma center, telemetry test pass, proficiency in vent and transplant care, and familiarity with electronic charting systems such as Epic.
• Additional Responsibilities: Providing care for adult patients diagnosed with complex medical conditions including pulmonary hypertension, cystic fibrosis, or post-lung transplant status, working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, and passing a telemetry exam prior to start. Traveler must be able to float as needed.
