Job Summary
The Post Anesthesia Care Ambulatory Unit (PACU Ambulatory) Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality post-anesthesia care to patients in an outpatient setting. Operating in a day-shift schedule, this role involves assessing, monitoring, and supporting patients recovering from anesthesia, ensuring safety and comfort while adhering to organizational policies and professional nursing standards.
Job Details
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license in the state of practice, BLS certification. No minimum years of experience required, but experience in the clinical area is preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor`s degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher. Professional certification related to peri-anesthesia care is advantageous.
- Additional Information: The position involves assessments, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of nursing care specific to post-anesthesia recovery. It may include responsibilities such as patient monitoring, wound care, pain management, and patient education. The role requires effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced outpatient environment. The nurse will be involved in ensuring patient safety through diligent observation and timely reporting of patient status.
