Registered Nurse / Progressive Care Unit

Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse position located in the healthcare organization. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care for patients within the unit, utilizing professional nursing standards and organizational policies. The RN is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care delivery, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Must possess a current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, BLS certification is required. Experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor`s degree preferred. Professional certification preferred.
  • Additional Information: The RN will perform all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation standards, as well as professional nursing standards. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, coordination, delegation, supervision, documentation, and participation in quality improvement activities. The role may involve supervising staff and working collaboratively with other healthcare providers, patients, families, and external contacts.
