Registered Nurse / Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) registered nurse position located at a healthcare facility in the area. The role involves providing high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced trauma setting, managing a variety of patient conditions, and working within a dynamic team to ensure patient safety and efficient operations. The position requires flexibility to work night shifts and support the departments operational needs.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS, BLS Certification, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC certifications; minimum of 2 years of experience in a larger trauma or emergency department setting; active ER license or compact license; ability to start on 10/05/2026; end date 01/04/2027
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience managing trauma patients, familiarity with Epic electronic medical records system, and proficiency with ER equipment such as vents, CPAP, BiPap, and ABGs
• Additional Information: The department covers approximately 170-200 patients daily, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 or 1:4 depending on acuity. The ER has a separate triage area with five beds, a locked hall with six private treatment rooms, and designated inpatient holding beds. Staff may float to cover ER holds, and no tele-monitoring is specified for this position. The unit provides an intensive orientation process including compliance and department-specific training.
