Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit nurse in a healthcare facility is responsible for performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care, as well as providing health teaching and counseling. The nurse delivers supportive and restorative therapy and treatment directly to patients or indirectly through collaboration with and supervision of others. The position may require floating to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications and being on-call during scheduled shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Dayshift: 12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: - Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice or via a valid Compact RN license. - BLS (American Heart Association) certification. - ACLS (American Heart Association) certification. - Minimum of 1+ years of nursing experience. - Education: ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) from an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor`s degree of Nursing preferred. - Location requirements: Must possess a valid license in the state of practice.
• Preferred Qualifications: - Previous experience as a Registered Nurse in an Intensive Care Unit. - Certification as appropriate for the unit or service.
• Additional Information: - The nurse will perform health data assessment, health teaching, health counseling, therapy and treatment planning, and nursing care. - Additional skills include medical function execution, patient referral, treatment plan monitoring, clinical documentation, and resource utilization.
