Registered Nurse / Labor And Delivery Department

Job Summary:
Lactation and Delivery Nurse in a labor and delivery department within a healthcare provider. This position involves delivering coordinated nursing care for patients in the labor and delivery unit, supervising and directing nursing staff, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, compassionate, and efficient patient care. The role requires applying critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent discretion to support maternal and neonatal health.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor`s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Labor and Delivery experience preferred; Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor required; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from an approved vendor required
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified
• Additional Information: The position involves collecting relevant health data, analyzing assessments, developing care plans, coordinating care delivery, evaluating outcomes, and participating in discharge planning. Responsibilities include promoting a safe and healing environment, providing health education, delegation, and collaboration with the healthcare team.
