Registered Nurse / Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse in a high-volume, urban healthcare environment. This role involves delivering emergency nursing care, supervising various levels of nursing staff, and coordinating interdisciplinary care to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. The position emphasizes critical thinking, independence, and professional judgment in a dynamic setting.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shift, 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Bachelor`s Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred; Emergency Room (ER) or acute care experience Preferred; Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice Required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor Required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor Required; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from approved vendor Required; Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or TEAM-A Required; National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Required
• Additional Information: The RN will provide comprehensive emergency care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsibilities include patient data collection, care coordination, discharge planning, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Participation in continued education and adherence to safety protocols are essential.
