Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Neurology Floor

Job Summary:
Neurology Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) position in the targeted location. This role involves floating between units as needed, providing specialized care for neuro patients, and working night shifts. The RN must be proficient in neuro skills, including stroke assessment and trauma care, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license accepted), BLS certification, NIHSS certification, at least 1 year of recent neuro patient experience, proficiency in cerebrovascular accident (CVA), isolation precautions/PPE, Med/Surg, neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, substance withdrawal, traumatic brain injury, and use of rapid response/code teams; Epic charting system experience required
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other neuro or medical surgical units based on skill sets and staffing needs
• Additional Information: Must have a vehicle for this assignment. Candidates will be expected to work three of the five designated holidays and to comply with the facilitys float requests, which may include floating to sister facilities in nearby locations. Successful candidates will need to provide two references covering 1 year within the last 3 years.
