Operating Room Tech / Operating Room Open Heart

Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse, Open Heart, located in the area, is responsible for providing specialized perioperative care to patients undergoing open heart procedures. This role requires a skilled nurse with experience in trauma level I environments and familiarity with complex cardiac surgeries.

Job Details

• Certifications and Requirements: NBSTSA certification, BLS certification, 2 years of cardio-thoracic surgery experience, capable of caring for COVID patients, must hold a current license to work in the state.
• Schedule: Dayshift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week, with on-call requirements including 30-minute response times, every third or fourth weekend, and holiday work as needed.
• Position Responsibilities: Assisting with open heart surgeries, maintaining sterile techniques, managing intraoperative equipment, ensuring patient safety, and adhering to all safety and procedural protocols.
• Additional Qualifications: Experience with Angioplasty/stenting, Aortic Aneurysm repair, Atrial Septal defect repair, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), Endovascular Aortic Repair (EVAR), Mitral valve replacement, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), and other advanced cardiovascular procedures.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must be able to respond within 30 minutes during on-call shifts and have at least 2 years of OR experience specific to cardiac surgery.
