Registered Nurse / Progressive Care Unit

Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Nurse in a healthcare facility located in the Midwest region. The position involves providing high-quality nursing care within a specialized unit that manages patients with a wide range of acuity levels. The role requires flexibility to float within the same discipline across local campuses and active participation in interdisciplinary team collaboration.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid state license for Iowa or Illinois, at least 1 year of previous stepdown experience, completion of a travel contract, and current skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission date. Certifications required include BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA).
• Preferred Qualifications: At least 1 travel contract completed, relevant clinical experience in stepdown or progressive care settings.
• Additional Information: The assigned unit maintains a 1:7 patient ratio. The assignment includes working during summer holidays with potential work on Memorial Day, Independence Day, or Labor Day. Orientation sessions are scheduled periodically starting January 12, 2026, through December 28, 2026. Candidates must submit a work history/resume, copy of required certifications, license verification, skills checklist, and one supervisory reference at the time of submission. This assignment allows for local candidates from regions including Madison, Sioux City, Bettendorf, Fort Dodge, Moline, Muscatine, and Rock Island.
