Job Details
Position Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
Education and Work Experience: Bachelor`s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Acute care facility experience preferred; Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from approved vendor required; Minimum 3 years of experience in labor and delivery nursing.
Certifications/Licenses: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS certification required.
Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Additional Information: The role involves collecting relevant patient health data, analyzing assessment data for diagnosis and care planning, developing and implementing care plans, coordinating care delivery, evaluating patient progress, collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare teams, providing education, and participating in discharge planning. Responsibilities also include delegating duties and performing other related job duties as assigned.
