Registered Nurse / Psychiatric Unit

Job Summary:
Psychiatric Unit Specialist on the outpatient basis in a behavioral health facility. This role involves providing care for adults experiencing a range of mental health challenges in two levels of adult psychiatric care: acute and stabilization services. The position supports a multidisciplinary team delivering compassionate treatment, facilitating group therapy sessions, and assisting with discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions for patients back into the community.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit, willingness to wait for license, BLS (AHA) certification, NIHSS certification, minimum of 2 years of experience, location flexible to meet the needs of the role
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in psychiatric or mental health setting, knowledge of EPIC charting system, familiarity with behavioral health therapies
• Additional Information: The position entails working with adult patients in secure inpatient units, providing supportive care, facilitating therapeutic groups focused on grief, anxiety, depression, and coping skills, and assisting with discharge planning in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Providers will work closely with direct care staff and have opportunities to engage in art, music, and pet therapy programs.
