Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary

Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position is based in a healthcare facility located in Indiana. The role involves providing patient care in a critical care setting, with a focus on vent management, vasoactive medication administration, and psychiatric patient care. The assigned shifts are days, with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, and the assignment duration spans from 09/28/2026 to 03/01/2027.

Job Details

• Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM per week, minimum of 36 hours.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Indiana or compact registered nurse license, BLS (American Heart Association) certification, ACLS (American Heart Association) certification; minimum of 2 years of Medical, Surgical, and/or ICU experience, with at least 1 year in ICU. No experience requirement is explicitly specified; the focus is on ICU experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with vent management, vasoactive infusions, and psychiatric patients.
• Float: Floating to other units/departments within Critical Care may be required.
• Additional Information: Orientation includes 2 days of training on the unit following a jumpstart orientation. Orientation is scheduled for Monday through Friday in the first week and Monday through Tuesday in the second week, with mandatory attendance. The orientation consists of 8-hour days. The hospital utilizes EPIC electronic charting systems and Pyxis medication dispensing. Equipment used in the unit includes ventilators, Bipap, EV 100s. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2 or 1:3, in a unit with 12 beds. Dress code is Caribbean blue scrubs. The call-off policy allows cancellation with up to 24 hours notice per 13-week period.
