Emergency Medical Technician / Paramedic

Job Summary:
Paramedic (PARAM) in an emergency medical services setting, required to work overnight shifts from 18:45 to 07:15. This position involves non-driving responsibilities and requires prior relevant experience. The role offers an opportunity to support patient care in a fast-paced environment with specific certification and training requirements.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications include current Virginia (VA) certification. If no VA certification, approved VA Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) reciprocity and proof of FBI fingerprint check are required. Out-of-state applicants must hold national certification. Certifications needed include American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), FEMA ICS 100, 200, and 700.
• Preferred Qualifications: Hazmat Awareness certification is preferred but not required.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of similar experience within the last 2 years.
• Additional Information: Orientation dates are scheduled for 10/5, 10/19, and 11/2, occurring every other Monday unless otherwise noted. Prior travel experience is preferred for all Centra positions. Submissions must include work history with at least 2 years of experience, explanations for employment gaps of over 90 days, and a skills checklist. This position is non-driving, and the client can cancel assignments up to 36 hours prior due to census fluctuations. Uniform pants and shirts will be provided upon submission.
