Emergency Medical Technician / Paramedic

Job Summary:
Paramedics in a healthcare setting located in the region will be responsible for providing pre-hospital emergency medical care on night shifts. This position requires clinical expertise and the ability to work independently during overnight hours, supporting patient care and safety in accordance with established protocols.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shift, from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid current Virginia certification; if no Virginia certification, approved Virginia EMT reciprocity and proof of FBI fingerprint check are required; out-of-state applicants must hold national certification; AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); FEMA ICS 100, 200, and 700; minimum 2 years of work history with at least 1 year of recent like experience; ability to explain all employment gaps over 90 days
• Preferred Qualifications: Hazmat Awareness certification is preferred but not required
• Additional Information: Orientation dates are scheduled for 10/5, 10/19, and 11/2, with sessions on Mondays every other week unless otherwise posted. Paramedics must complete Skills Checklist and submit work history and gap explanations upon application. Uniform pants and shirts are provided upon submission. This position is non-driving, and the client reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours prior to the assignment due to census fluctuations. Submissions are to be made via IVS to the manager.
