Job Summary
ORFA (Operating Room First Assist) Location: unspecified. This position involves providing surgical assistance in various procedures including CABG, VATs, and valve replacements. The role requires a professional comfortable with vein harvesting and assisting in complex cardiovascular surgeries, supporting a busy operating room environment.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, Experience, and Location Requirements: BLS certification; minimum of 1 year of experience in surgical assisting; experience with cardiovascular procedures including vein harvesting for coronary artery bypass grafts (CABG), assisting on and off pump CABG, VATs, and valve replacements; active state or compact license required.
• Schedule: Days shift, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Assisting with a variety of cardiovascular and general surgeries, including vein harvesting for CABG procedures, assisting with on and off pump CABG, VATs, and valve replacements.
• Additional Information: The unit accepts first-time travelers and may require float to Labor & Delivery if needed. The facility operates with a 50-mile radius rule, prohibiting local candidates unless otherwise specified. Candidates must complete onboarding modules during orientation, with core items and labs completed within 48 hours of contract signing.
