Emergency Room (ER) Nurse San Jose, CA. This position involves providing exceptional emergency nursing care within a busy hospital setting. The role requires managing acute medical situations and collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Location: San Jose, CA
• Specialty: Emergency Room (ER)
• Shift: Nights (7:00 PM 7:00 AM), 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
• Position Description: Responsible for delivering critical care in a 36-bed emergency department with a staff of 113, including varied shifts and patient ratios of 4:1, or 1:1/2:1 for critical care patients.
• Required Qualifications: At least 3-5 years of emergency department experience in an acute care hospital; current PALS, ACLS, BLS certifications; California licensure required; minimum of 0 years of experience (Note: additional experience requirements listed above).
• Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse experience; prior travel or interim experience working in California.
• Additional Information: Unit utilizes Phillips EMR and Meditech systems. Responsibilities include managing stroke and STEMI cases, adhering to unit policies and guidelines, and working every other weekend. No float rotation required.
