ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse Local, Colorado
This ICU Registered Nurse position involves providing high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients within a busy healthcare facility. The role requires assessment, planning, and implementation of patient care tailored to a diverse patient population, including neonates to end-of-life patients, utilizing evidence-based practices.

Job Details

• Education Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; associate degree required; bachelors degree preferred.
• Certification and Licensure: Current state Registered Nurse Licensure within Colorado; Compact license accepted and Colorado License must be obtained within the first 90 days of hire. Valid BLS, PALS (must be obtained within 6 months if not already held), ACLS certifications required; successful completion of EKG course within 4 months of hire.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year ICU or inpatient experience preferred.
• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Patient Population & Responsibilities: Care for patients with conditions such as DKA, cardiac issues, sepsis, and surgical cases; include monitoring of telemetry and arrhythmias. Assistance with procedures, medication administration, and patient assessments are core responsibilities.
• Additional Requirements: Ability to communicate effectively in English, strong organizational skills, basic computer skills, and adherence to safety and infection control policies.
• Unit-Specific Duties: Care for ICU patients including advanced cardiac monitoring, telemetry, ventilator management, rapid infuser use, and fetal monitoring for applicable units.
• Clinical Competencies: Demonstrates current evidence-based nursing knowledge, supervises non-professional staff, participates in educational activities, and maintains documentation standards.
• Physical Environment: Exposure to infectious waste, chemicals, noise, environmental factors, and physical demands including lifting and movement required.
