Registered Nurse / Labor And Delivery Department

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) registered nurses are sought for a healthcare facility in a unit specializing in maternal and newborn care. This position involves providing care for high-risk obstetric patients, attending deliveries independently, and circulating in cesarean sections. The assignment is scheduled to start on October 5, 2026, and conclude on January 4, 2027.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, days only.
• Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification, minimum of 2 years of experience, experience in Labor and Delivery (L&D).
• Preferred Qualifications: Intermediate or advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification.
• Experience or `Must have` Skills: Must have LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) experience. Comfortable attending deliveries independently, circulating in Cesarean sections, assisting with baby catch and transition, and managing high-risk patients including preeclampsia, diabetic cases, and social/psych issues.
• Additional Information: Candidate must be comfortable titrating drips such as magnesium, Pitocin, and insulin. Must be able to function in both mother/baby and postpartum units without floating outside of these departments. Scrubs are provided; a locker is available. Unit offers an 8-hour orientation with specific training on EPIC system. In-house OB/Neonatologist, hospitalist, NNP, and OB anesthesia are available 24/7. Telemetry monitors are used, with RN ability to read strips. No floating outside of maternal/newborn department is required.
