Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary

The healthcare provider is seeking a specialized Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for a travel assignment at a community hospital. The position involves providing advanced patient care for diverse patient populations, including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics, in a fast-paced ICU environment. The RN will deliver high-quality care by utilizing specialized skills and maintaining compliance with all clinical protocols.

Job Details

• Position Description: RN - ICU Travel assignment in a community hospital setting, requiring ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications. The role involves managing ventilated patients, arterial lines, chest tubes, and other critical care procedures.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS; valid California State RN License uploaded within the last two weeks.
• Education & Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required, with at least 2 years of clinical practice in a critical care environment.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid California RN license, 2 years of ICU experience, ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications, and familiarity with Epic charting system.
• Additional Information: Ability to assist with chest tube insertion/removal, manage multiple invasive lines (PICC, arterial, central lines), and monitor complex patient conditions such as multisystem organ failure. Floating to medical-surgical units or emergency room may be required as needed. Orientation includes 12 hours of training.
