Registered Nurse / Emergency Room Holding Area

Job Summary:
Emergency Room Holding Area (ER HOLD) nurse in a facility setting. This position involves providing direct and indirect patient care, communicating effectively with physicians, nurse managers, and co-workers regarding patients` clinical conditions, diagnostic results, and symptoms. The role requires quick response to changes in patient status, thorough patient assessments, and the ability to function effectively in high-pressure situations. The nurse must demonstrate strong communication skills, clinical competence, and the ability to work independently, with flexibility to float and meet unit needs. Shift timing is nights, with a schedule of 12-hour shifts, totaling a minimum of 36 hours per week. The employment period is from 10/05/2026 to 01/04/2027.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Ohio state licenses, 1 year of experience in Emergency Department, ICU, or Medical Surgical units; Certifications include ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Preferred Qualifications: Not specified
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: Candidates must be COVID-19 vaccinated and provide vaccination card if applicable. The role involves responding swiftly to patient condition changes, performing general nursing duties, and adhering to service excellence standards. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays, along with maintaining current licensure and certifications, is essential. The position requires a proactive, calm, and confident approach to crisis situations and patient care.
