Registered Nurse / Post Anesthesia Care Unit

Job Summary
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse Location: Not Specified. This position involves providing specialized care to adult and pediatric patients immediately following surgical procedures, including ICU, MRI, Oncology, and Interventional Radiology patients. The role requires competent, independent practice in a fast-paced environment within a healthcare facility.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: Active ND or Compact Registered Nurse license, ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), with at least 2 years of recent PACU experience. Requires EPIC charting experience and previous work with pediatric patients.
• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts starting between 7:30 and 9:00 am, with a minimum of 48 hours per week. Call responsibilities include 3-5 weeknights and 1-2 weekends every six weeks.
• Responsibilities: Care for all surgical specialties, post-procedures, and ICU, MRI, Oncology, and Interventional Radiology patients. Operate with equipment such as EPIC, AcuDose Medication Dispensing, and Phillips monitors.
• Other Requirements: Float to other units/departments as needed, training for float to the Day Unit for phase two patients, and adherence to cancellation policies with the requirement to badge in and out at the facility.
