Job Summary
The organization is seeking a Social Worker for a position in its acute care setting. The role involves providing psychosocial/emotional support to patients and their families, conducting psychosocial assessments, and assisting with discharge planning, resource navigation, and safety planning, primarily within emergency, pediatric, or adult inpatient units.

Job Details

• Position: Social Worker Acute Care
• Location: The healthcare provider operates within an acute hospital setting, supporting diverse inpatient units including Emergency Department, pediatrics, and adult care.
• Certifications and Education: LM,SW or MSW from a CSWE-accredited school; Alaska license required, candidates without a license must apply for a temporary license; candidates should apply for LMSW temporary license.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care social work experience required.
• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 10/26/2026 and ending on 01/25/2027.
• Additional Responsibilities: Conduct psychosocial assessments, assist with discharge planning, screen for suicidality, engage in safety planning, coordinate with care teams, and ensure documentation complies with policy and regulations.
• Other Requirements: Must be willing to work in an emergency, pediatric, or adult inpatient setting, may be required to float within scope to meet facility needs, and should have experience with electronic charting systems such as Epic.
• Candidate Submission: Must include responses to previous employment at Providence facilities, provide two references covering at least one year within the last three years, and demonstrate the ability to work with diverse patient populations.
