Job Summary:
Social Worker in an acute care facility located in Alaska. This position involves providing psychosocial and emotional support to patients and their families within a consultative, multidisciplinary team. The role requires assessment, discharge planning, resource navigation, crisis intervention, and coordination with external entities to ensure safe and effective patient care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 10/26/2026 and ending on 01/25/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Master`s degree in social work from a CWSE accredited school, Alaska licensure (licensed or temporary license acceptable for application). Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience, including acute care experience. Valid state license must be in hand at submission.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Emergency Department, Pediatrics, NICU, PICU, or maternity units; proficiency with Epic charting system; experience in crisis intervention, discharge planning, and care coordination.
• Additional Information: Candidate should be prepared to work closely with RN case managers and the care team across pediatric, adult, and emergency settings. Clinicians will perform psychosocial assessments, safety planning, and assist with resource navigation.
• RTO Restrictions & Certification: Individual approval required for time off; must work 3 of 5 holidays; 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years; no Nursys or background check hits accepted; must include responses to specific questions during submission.
