Job Summary
Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) Location: unspecified. This role involves supporting a Level II Trauma Center`s surgical and clinical services by performing sterilization and supply management tasks. The position requires working evenings, with a focus on ensuring optimal sterilization procedures and case preparation within a dynamic, teaching healthcare environment.

Job Details

• Certifications: CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA. Education requirements include relevant certifications; candidates must have at least 2 years of experience.
• Schedule: Evenings shift, 8 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional qualifications include experience with EPIC charting system, supply knowledge, and ability to pick cases.
• Responsibilities: Sterilization of surgical instruments, maintaining supply trays, supporting surgical case volume, and being flexible to float between units or sister facilities as needed.
• Orientation: Three days of day shift training, with hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM on day 1, and 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM on days 2 and 3.
• Requirements: Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience, current applicable certifications, and hold a valid state license (compact license accepted).
• Submission: Requires two references covering a period of one year during the last three years, and responses to specific pre-submittal questions regarding previous experience at Providence facilities.
