Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical With Telemetry

Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse in a short-term acute care facility. The role involves providing high-quality patient care to a diverse adult and geriatric population, with a focus on telemetry and cardiac care. The nurse will be expected to float to various units within the organization, demonstrating flexibility and strong clinical skills in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid state license (compact license preferred), at least 1 year of recent US nursing experience, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), experience with cardiac telemetry, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and management of dysrhythmias.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse experience and previous experience in a short-term acute care or telemetry unit.
  • Floating: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: Candidate must be able to work on holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year`s Eve, and New Year`s Day. Candidates should not contact facility directly unless scheduled for an interview. References covering at least one year within the past three years are required. The role involves potential charge responsibilities on small units staffed with 1-2 RNs. Candidates must have experience in the US, with Canadian experience alone not qualifying. All modules must be completed prior to start, and candidates need to be flexible with scheduling requests made upfront.
