Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit

Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse position located at an unspecified healthcare facility. This role involves managing adult and geriatric patients requiring critical care, including conditions such as sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, Covid-19, respiratory failure, severe diabetic ketoacidosis, multi-system organ failure, stroke, and other life-threatening diagnoses. The position is suited for registered nurses with at least one year of experience and holds current certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Certified Trauma Nurse (TNCC) preferred. The assignment is scheduled to begin on October 19, 2026, and end on January 18, 2027, with a 12-hour night shift and a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum 36 hours per week, from 10/19/2026 to 01/18/2027
• Required Qualifications: Valid state license with a compact license in hand at submission, at least 1 year of ICU experience, and certifications including ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC (preferred)
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, management of patients with multisystem organ failure, arterial line management, central line care, continuous IV sedation, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilator care, arterial blood gases interpretation, suctioning (ETT, NT), isolation precautions/ PPE, and ICU experience in surgical, trauma, or medical specialties
• Additional Information: The candidate must be willing to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Xmas Eve, Xmas Day, NYE, NYD). Orientation comprises 12 hours of training. Candidates are expected to float between nearby facilities if needed. The facility does not accept Nursys or background (BG) hits, and travelers can return after 3 months. References covering 1 year (or 6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years are required. All modules related to orientation and certification are non-billable and to be completed prior to start.
