Job Description

Job Summary:
Telemetry Nursing (RN) position is located in an acute care hospital setting. The role involves providing patient care across various medical-surgical telemetry units, with responsibilities including cardiac monitoring, reading telemetry strips, and administering cardiac drips. The assignment requires willingness to float between multiple units and working a rotating schedule to support 24/7 operations.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week, rotating between days, evenings, and nights, including every other weekend.
  • Required Qualifications: Active Massachusetts RN License, American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification, and a minimum of 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location, and 2 years working as a traveler. Experience with telemetry monitoring, interpreting strips, and performing cardiac drips is preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in telemetering, reading telemetry strips every 4 hours, and TR Band experience.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required among 8 different units within the hospital.
  • Additional Information: Responsible for cardiac monitoring, cardiac drip administration, reading telemetry strips, and caring for diverse patient populations including ED border patients, mental health unit medication nurses, and ICU transfer-ready patients. The facility has a bed count of 371 with unit census ranging from 8 to 41 beds. EMR system in use is EPIC.
