Registered Nurse / Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Summary:
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (CCL) in Richmond, Virginia, is seeking a qualified registered nurse (RN), radiologic technologist certified in cardiovascular invasive procedures (RCIS), or registered technologist in radiography (RTF) for a patient care role within a busy interventional cardiac catheterization unit. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in a fast-paced environment, ensuring quality patient care and adherence to unit policies.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per day, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN, RCIS, or RTF certification; associate or bachelors degree in a related healthcare field; Virginia state licensure if applicable; minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac cath lab; ability to report to hospital within 30 minutes of call-back.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a high-volume lab handling complex cases such as complex percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs), Impella, balloon-pump, peripheral cases, and device placements.

- Additional Information: The unit has three cath labs with a team of 10-11 staff members working day shifts, including RNs and cardiovascular technologists. The environment features GE X-ray/MacLab imaging equipment and uses Meditech electronic medical records. The role requires professionalism, punctuality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
