Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular

Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) nurse position in an acute care setting. This role involves providing high-quality, patient-centered care to cardiac and post-open heart patients, ensuring safety, safety, and optimal recovery protocols. The position requires collaborative engagement with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver evidence-based care and support patient recovery and education.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, every other week, with a minimum of 34.5 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license; BLS certification; a minimum of 2 years of post-open heart and cardiac care unit experience; at least 1 year of travel experience for travel positions; Epic electronic health record experience highly preferred; 2 years of RN experience in a relevant setting.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree; experience with ICU and cardiovascular patient care; excellent organizational skills.
• Additional Information: The role involves performing charge nurse duties, coordinating supplies and staffing, documenting in compliance with standards, and facilitating patient throughput. The nurse will contribute to quality improvement activities, patient safety initiatives, and professional development activities including shared decision making and continuing education.
