Registered Nurse / Progressive Care Unit

Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity in Thornton, Colorado. This role involves providing high-quality patient care within a state-of-the-art unit that features advanced technology such as telemonitoring and post-operative monitoring. Ideal candidates will be friendly, outgoing, and team-oriented, with prior experience in a hospital PCU setting.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, minimum 1-year current hospital PCU experience, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), and NIH (National Institutes of Health) certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: Cardiac experience, prior Meditech experience.
• Location: Thornton, Colorado at a modern, top-tier unit with approximately 24 beds, equipped with telemonitoring and post-op recovery monitoring tools.
• Responsibilities: Post-operative recovery for surgical and cath lab patients, orthopedics (spine, joint), GYN surgeries, and elective cath lab procedures including PCI, pacemaker, ablation, cardioversion, and revascularization. Care for stroke, CIWA, chest pain, renal failure, respiratory failure, and administered cardiac drips (non-titrating except heparin).
• Additional Information: The unit offers a friendly and collaborative culture, with a modified self-scheduling process that allows schedules to be posted three weeks in advance for flexibility.
