Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical With Telemetry

Job Summary:
The healthcare professional, specializing in Medical Surgical With Telemetry in a hospital setting, will provide patient care on a rotating day and night schedule. The position involves working 12-hour shifts, with responsibilities including monitoring and managing patients in med-surg or telemetry units. The role supports a self-scheduling process with potential accommodations for specific requests, contributing to the overall operational efficiency of the unit.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour shifts, rotating day and night hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid healthcare professional license, basic life support certification, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in medical surgical nursing with telemetry.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with patient monitoring and telemetry, strong communication skills, ability to self-schedule and adapt to unit needs.
• Floats: Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The position involves working every other weekend and holiday, with limited requests for time off around holidays. Candidates will be expected to work within staffing ratios of 5:1 during day shifts, 6:1 during night shifts for med-surg, and 4:1 to 5:1 ratios for telemetry. Self-scheduling is supported, with scheduling preferences balanced by the team.
