Registered Nurse / Telemetry

Job Summary:
Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Springfield, Missouri. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a telemetry unit, with a focus on medical, neuro, and cardiac patient populations. The assignment is for a 13-week period, with night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, requiring flexibility and clinical competence in inpatient telemetry nursing.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 1900-0700; minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Missouri RN license or eligibility for licensure in Missouri; BLS from American Heart Association; NIHSS certification (must be obtained prior to start).
• Experience: At least 1 year of inpatient telemetery nursing experience including drug titration; preferred 1 year of neuro inpatient experience.
• Float Requirements: Will rotate on a scheduled basis.
• Unit Information:
  • Number of beds: 32
  • Patient ratio: Days 1:5-1:6, nights 1:6-1:7
  • Equipment: Telemetry monitors, lift equipment, IV pumps, tube feeding pumps
  • EMR: EPIC
• Additional Information: Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; maintains patient confidentiality and professional accountability; works within scope of practice and hospital standards; must be flexible with schedules, including working differing shifts and days as needed; orientation for night shift occurs during daytime hours; night shift staff must be available the entire week.
