Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Oncology Floor

Job Summary
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor Nurse in the MS ONC specialty, located in the healthcare organizations facility. This role involves providing care for patients with complex medical and oncology needs, including monitoring for side effects of treatments, administering chemotherapy, and managing respiratory care for patients with trachs, chest tubes, and ventilator support. The position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to handle critical situations with minimal supervision.

Job Details

  • Job Type: 12 hour DAY/NIGHT shift, rotating schedule.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid drivers license, state ID, and UHS submission packet. Two years of experience in medical surgical oncology, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Additional Information: Must have experience with complex medical oncology patients, interpretation of cardiac arrhythmias, chemotherapy administration, side effect monitoring, respiratory care including trachs and chest tubes, and end-of-life care or hospice experience. ACLS certification preferred. Ability to identify rapidly changing patient conditions and multitask critical situations is essential.
