Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse Location unspecified. This position involves providing care to adult medical-surgical patients in a large hospital setting. The role requires flexibility with rotating day and night shifts and the ability to float across multiple units within the facility, ensuring comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts with rotating day and night schedule, every other weekend and holiday, with minimum commitment of 36 hours per week. Schedule cycles may vary between consecutive weeks of days or nights, based on unit needs.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid state RN license (ND or compact), BLS certification through the American Heart Association, minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in a large hospital with 250+ beds, experience with electronic health records (EMR) - Epic preferred, trauma level 1 experience, inpatient medication and behavioral management skills, and experience with Epic electronic medical record system.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a busy, high-volume medical-surgical environment and ability to float to other specialized units as needed.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must be able to float to other medical-surgical units within the campus system. All clinicians are required to badge in and out at the facility and adhere to specified dress code (Navy Blue scrubs). Travelers should note if they have previously worked for the healthcare provider; if so, their previous employment end date must be at least 6 months prior to the submission date.
  • Travel Considerations: Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible; those within 60 to 80 miles will receive a reduced local travel rate.
  • Start and End Dates: 10/12/2026 through 01/11/2027.
  • Special Requirements: Must demonstrate competency in medical-surgical nursing, including behavioral patient management, and be willing to work on a rotating schedule. All required certifications must be current.
