Job Summary

Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Austin, TX. This 13-week contract position requires experienced OR staff to support a busy surgical unit with a focus on orthopedic, spine, neuro, robotics, plastics, general, and gynecology procedures (excluding cardiovascular). Candidates must be willing to work day shifts with scheduled call requirements. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a highly skilled environment with a dedicated team.

Job Details

• Schedule: Dayshift; 10-hour shift times; minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN licensure or Certified Surgical Technicians (CST) certification; 3+ years of previous experience in Operating Room settings; minimum of 1 year of travel or contract experience; experience in orthopedic, spine, neuro, robotics, plastics, general, or gynecology (excluding cardiovascular) procedures; neuro/spine experience certification is a must; Cardiac experience required for service line work; Candidates without these skills will not be considered
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience across multiple service lines including orthopedic, neuro, general, and robotics; ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment; flexible, team-oriented, self-directed, and positive personality traits
• Additional Information: The unit supports 22 operating rooms with a staff of 80, including RN s and Certified Surgical Technicians. The team maintains one staff member in-house at all times, with shifts including regular and weekend rotations. Key equipment includes robotics, cardiac, vascular, neuro, spine, oncology, plastics, urology, and gynecology tools. The unit emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and excellent patient care.
