Registered Nurse / Emergency Room

Job Summary
Emergency Room (ER) Nurse Nights California. This position involves providing comprehensive nursing care, including triage, treatment, and discharge procedures for patients across all age groups in an emergency department setting. The role is represented by CNA and requires a proactive approach to patient safety and emergency response.

Job Details

• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Associate Degree (A.S.) or equivalent, Bachelor`s Degree in Nursing preferred; current RN license in the state of practice; BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC certifications from approved vendors, all required; one year in acute care experience; facility-specific certifications including BLS, ACLS, and PALS; TNCC within 6 months of hire.
• Additional Information: Performs accurate triage assessments and promptly communicates abnormal signs or symptoms to the emergency physician. Administers medications and provides patient education regarding side effects and discharge instructions. Recognizes symptoms of cardiac or respiratory distress and executes appropriate interventions. Competent in routine nursing skills such as medication administration, intravenous therapy, indwelling catheter care, and use of medical equipment in critical situations. Interprets ECG rhythms and manages care during emergency activation protocols. Maintains detailed documentation and ensures safety and quality control checks are performed consistently. Coordinates care with inpatient units when admitting patients and performs other related duties as assigned.
