Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Floor

Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in a healthcare facility located in the South St. Louis County area. This role involves providing direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Floor, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care across all age groups. The RN will coordinate with ancillary departments, maintain patient rights and confidentiality, and adhere to the organizations mission, values, and standards.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 1900-0730, minimum 36 hours per week, 12-hour shift length
• Required Qualifications: Current RN License that meets Missouri state licensure criteria or is currently licensed in Missouri; BLS certification from AHA; 1 year of inpatient Medical Surgical experience; location requirements met; high school diploma or Equivalent, and 1 year of experience
• Preferred Qualifications: ACLS certification from AHA (optional)
• Float: Float rotation may be required to a similar or lower acuity unit
• Additional Information: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care, maintains professional accountability, evaluates patient care effectiveness, coordinates between departments, and maintains confidentiality. The role demands standing, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs., with potential exposure to blood and body fluids. Physical demands include push, pull, and grip, with kneeling, crouching, and crawling as needed. Orientation is scheduled on day shift, and the traveler must be available throughout the entire week.
