Registered Nurse / Operating Room

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) position located within a healthcare facility. This role involves providing high-quality perioperative patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The RN will be responsible for supporting surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with the surgical team to maintain operational efficiency.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; current New York State Registered Nurse (NYS RN) license; BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred; at least 0 years of experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Preceptorship, charge, and leadership abilities are preferred for experienced RNs.
• Additional Information: Must possess a thorough knowledge of nursing principles, clinical equipment instrumentation used in operating room settings, and lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills. Ability to recognize safety issues, assess patient needsincluding clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual aspectsand respond appropriately. Ability to function well under stress, demonstrate good problem-solving skills, and prioritize tasks. Leadership skills and the ability to delegate may be required to assume duties as a charge nurse. On-call availability with a response time of 30 minutes is necessary.
