Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in a hospital setting, focusing on Labor Management, Vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and pre-operative care. The role involves providing independent and team-based patient care aligned with unit protocols on a 12-hour night shift schedule, from September 28, 2026, to December 28, 2026.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, with rotating weekends and no on-call required.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid neonatal resuscitation program (NRP), basic life support (BLS), advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS), and electronic fetal monitoring (EFM) certifications; must have strong independent labor and delivery skills (cervical checks, operating room circulator, IV start, medication management including oxytocin and magnesium).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with device placement such as intrauterine pressure catheter (IUPC) and fetal scalp electrode (FSE); experience with newborn transition procedures.
  • Additional Information: The unit features 11 beds staffed by 34 team members, including charge nurses, surgical technologists, and registered nurses. Equipment includes standard fetal monitoring devices, wireless monitors, and Baxter intravenous pumps. The EMR systems utilized are Meditech Expanse and GE CPN Connect. Candidates should be open, friendly, capable of managing responsibilities independently, and exhibit team spirit.
