Registered Nurse / Operating Room Open Heart

Job Summary:
Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) nurse in a healthcare organization. This position involves providing pre, intra, and post-operative patient care in a busy surgical setting. The role requires a skilled professional capable of circulating and scrubbing across various specialty pods with a focus on cardiac surgeries.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, at least 3 years of experience in operating room circulation and scrubbing, specific experience with open heart procedures, EPIC electronic health record (EHR) experience, and willingness to float across all specialty pods where circulating and/or scrubbing is required. Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in Level 2 trauma or teaching facilities, familiarity with stroke and chest pain centers.
• Additional Information: Candidates will work in various centers (A-D) based on strengths across specialties including neuro, ENT, orthopedics, cardiothoracic, vascular, general surgery, gynecology, urology, and robotics. Orientation occurs every Monday. Candidates cannot have a Tallahassee address and block scheduling is not available.
