Operating Room Tech / Operating Room Open Heart

Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Open Heart specialty nurse position in a healthcare facility. The role involves providing specialized surgical care in the operating room, with a focus on open heart procedures. The assignment is scheduled to start on 09/14/2026 and end on 12/12/2026, with a 10-hour shift each day, Monday through Friday. Candidates should meet all listed qualifications and have relevant experience in cardiovascular operating room settings.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days, 10-hour shifts, minimum of 40 hours per week, scheduled from 09/14/2026 to 12/12/2026. Exact days worked may be determined upon arrival and specific unit needs.
• Required Qualifications: Valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), current NBSTSA (National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting) certification, completion of a surgical technologist program, at least 2 years of experience as a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) surgical technologist in first and second scrub roles, and previous travel experience.
• Additional Responsibilities and Requirements: Knowledge of surgical procedures, preparation of supplies, equipment, and instrumentation for surgical cases, anticipating needs during surgeries, assisting in room turnovers, patient positioning, and maintaining confidentiality and privacy standards. Responsibilities also include pulling supplies, conducting counts with the registered nurse (RN), and ensuring adherence to departmental standards.
