Job Description

Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position available in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing direct clinical care to patients in the labor and delivery department, supervising staff, and supporting the facility`s clinical operations. The assignment is scheduled for nights and spans from September 14, 2026, to December 14, 2026, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: No minimum experience required; valid nursing license; current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); relevant educational background in nursing; location requirements; and a healthcare professional with at least 1 year of clinical experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing, certification in Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring (EFM), and familiarity with hospital protocols for obstetric care.
  • Additional Information: The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level. The role is responsible for supervision of staff to which appropriate care is delegated. The role is accountable to support the facility Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to ensure high quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and appropriate resource management related to patient care.
