Operating Room Tech / Certified Operating Room Tech

Job Summary:
Certified Operating Room Technician (ORT CERT) in a hospital setting located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This position involves circulating in orthopedic and spine surgical procedures, with additional experience in neurosurgical and general robotic surgeries preferred. The role requires critical thinking, excellent customer service skills, and endovascular experience to support complex surgical cases in a fast-paced surgical unit.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Shift hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. The start date is 09/21/2026 and the assignment will conclude on 12/21/2026.
• Required Qualifications: Certification as a Certified Operating Room Technician (CST) with a valid Tennessee nursing license. BLS certification. No minimum experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience circulating in orthopedic and spine surgical procedures. Neurosurgical and robotic procedure experience is a plus.
• Additional Information:
  • The unit features 17 beds and 17 operating rooms specializing in surgical specialties, including total joints, spine fusions, neurosurgical procedures such as craniotomies, robotic surgeries, and cardiovascular surgeries including open-heart procedures.
  • The unit is equipped with electrosurgical units, Neptune suction, patient positioning devices, and advanced equipment like the Synaptive Medical Modus V robotic digital microscope, the only system of its kind in Tennessee.
  • Dress code: Scrubs (provided).
  • The role involves adherence to unit-specific policies and guidelines.
  • Candidates should possess critical thinking, customer service skills, and endovascular experience.
