Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical Neurology Floor

Job Summary:
Neuro/Orthopedic/Trauma Registered Nurse (RN) position is available at a healthcare organization located in Portland, Maine. This role involves caring for neurosurgical patients, including spinal surgeries, brain tumors, seizure disorders, VP shunts, head bleeds, traumatic injuries, and joint replacement surgeries. The position requires a proactive team player with a positive attitude, working night shifts during a 12-hour schedule. The assignment is ongoing from September 13, 2026, to December 11, 2026.

• Schedule: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: No specific certification required. Neuro experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Neuro/Neurosurgery experience preferred.
• Equipment: EMR: Epic
• Number of Beds: 26
• Patient Ratios: 1:4-5 on days, 1:5-6 on nights
• Dress Code: Scrub color any; must maintain a professional appearance
• Additional Information: This role involves caring for neurosurgical patients with various complex conditions. Flexibility to float to other units as needed.
