Registered Nurse / Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) registered nurse position in Gainesville, FL. This role involves providing acute patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting, with responsibilities including stabilizing patients, following hospital protocols, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The position is scheduled for night shifts from 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights, 36 hours per week, starting on 10/12/2026 and ending on 01/11/2027
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification, 3 years of ER nursing experience, and current healthcare provider licensing in the state of Florida
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Meditech documentation system, ability to perform procedures required on unit, strong patient experience skills, and familiarity with ER equipment such as Stryker and Hill-Rom stretchers and GE monitors
• Additional Information: The unit has 43 beds with a 4:1 patient ratio. Staff includes a unit clerk, medics, and techs. Equipment includes Stryker and Hill-Rom stretchers, GE monitors. The unit values staff with advanced procedural skills and a team-oriented approach. Candidate should adhere to hospital-specific policies, dress code (steel gray uniforms), and unit guidelines.
