Registered Nurse / Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) registered nurse position available in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing high-quality care to Emergency Room patients utilizing the Nursing Process, ensuring patient safety, and demonstrating critical thinking and leadership skills. The position is ideal for candidates committed to ongoing professional development and capable of working independently within established policies and procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice in Alabama; American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); 1-2 years recent Emergency Department (ED) experience; strong knowledge of Cerner electronic medical record system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cerner EMR system is highly preferred.
• Additional Information: The registered nurse will be responsible for providing care to Emergency Room patients, maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education, delegating patient care appropriately, and supervising assigned personnel. Travelers must be greater than 50 miles from the facility and include home address and Social Security Number (SSN) on submission. This position is posted due to internal vacancy/leave coverage.
